2008 State Superintendent's Learning Improvement Award
This award recognizes and celebrates outstanding improvement in student academic growth. Awards go to the top 5 percent of elementary, middle and high schools and alternative schools that have shown progress in raising student achievement in both reading and mathematics during a six-year period. The top 5 percent of schools this year includes 53 elementary schools, 21 middle schools, 20 high schools and 7 alternative schools. Lacey is proud to number among them!

Members of the fourth grade team were selected to attend the award ceremony with Mr. Culbertson at Garfield High School on Wednesday, October 22nd where State Superintendent Terry Bergeson presented them with a banner and trophy to display here at Lacey.
